Edison Automation Announces a New Utilities and Public Infrastructure Strategy

Nashville, TN May 16, 2007 - Edison Automation announces its strategy for becoming the leading national provider of utilities and public infrastructure technology solutions. Edison Automation's sales to the utilities markets have doubled in the past four (4) years, becoming one of the leading providers of communications, SCADA and automation solutions to municipal utilities. In order to support this growth, changes to the overall strategy are now being coordinated.

Recently, Edison announced the sale of its Industrial Distribution Division to Richard Equipment Co. Inc. (RECO) of Cincinnati, Ohio. The sale allows Edison Automation to restructure for growth and focus its sales, marketing and engineering teams exclusively on the Utilities and Public Infrastructure markets and to accelerate growth within these markets.

"We are moving from a regional business model to an extensive national plan. Our customers are growing at an impressive pace and these changes will help us exceed our customer's expectation," explained Kody Salem, Sales and Marketing Manager of the Utilities and Public Infrastructure.

The Utilities and Public Infrastructure Division of Edison Automation was established in 1997 to offer superior turn-key technology based solutions and services for the utilities markets. Edison will continue to grow its strategic partnerships with global providers such as MDS, Cellnet, ABB and Citect.

The separation announced on May 9, 2007 by Richard Equipment Co. Inc. (RECO) of Cincinnati, Ohio as an acquisition of Edison Automation's Industrial Distribution division. The acquisition resulted in the formation of RECO as one of the strongest Siemens Industrial Automation distributors in the United States.
